March 30, 2017 ChartData Partially Released

Update 3/27/2017 7:20 PM Pacific:  All US data for all devices and apps has now been released.

==========

The next FAA data cycle begins next Thursday, March 30, 2017.  We try to release ChartData the Friday before the new cycle starts but we’re delaying that until sometime on Monday for some of our ChartData products.

Specifically, on Thursday we released ChartData for our certified devices (KSN 770 and Aspen), the Bendix-King AV8OR ACE, and for our Voyager for Windows application.  However, ChartData for FlyQ, Dynon, AFS, GRT, and all other apps and devices will be released Monday afternoon.

The delay is due to switching a data source used in some of our data products.  The processing, testing, and refinement cycle is taking slightly longer than expected.  It’s almost done now but we are erring on the side of caution and making sure it’s right before we release it.  The products for which we have already released data do not use the new data source.

Important! Be aware that ChartData for the next cycle is not legal for use until next Thursday (March 30, 2017) at 12:01 AM Eastern time.
