Black Friday, FlyQ EFB 4.0 Live Announcement, and Webinars this Week

Big week at Seattle Avionics!

EDIT: We have far more people registered for the Monday presentation than the system will allow to attend so we’re adding a second live FlyQ EFB 4.0 / FlyQ Online 2.0 presentation for the next day – Tuesday, November 20.  The material will be essentially the same so there is no reason to attend both but we do recommend signing up for the Tuesday presentation if you are already registered for Monday in case the Monday presentation fills up before you log on.  We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

First .. if you haven’t yet signed up for the live streaming FlyQ EFB 4.0 (“Red Barn”) announcement next Monday, do so right now as we have limited slots and, based on response from last year, we’re already very close the maximum number of attendees.  Also, our annual (and always amazing) Black Friday specials begin next Wednesday and they’re quantity limited.  Be sure to sign-up now for special early access.

Now … in preparation for FlyQ EFB 4.0 and Black Friday, we’re doing a series of live webinars THIS WEEK.  They’re all free and cover different aspects of the app.  And all attendees get a coupon good for 20% off a regularly-priced subscription.

Wednesday, Nov 14:  Catch up on all the new features added this year! We added a lot this year — iPhone version, Augmented Reality, recently cleared ATC routes, animated radar, ADS-B tail numbers with our exclusive Buddy List, flight recorder, Slingshot wireless updater for in-panel devices, and much more.

Thursday, Nov 15: Intro to the FlyQ Family. Learn best-practices for combining FlyQ EFB (iPad/iPhone) with FlyQ Online (Web — PC and Mac) and with FlyQ InSight (iOS) and Pocket (Android).  Used together, they give you an unrivaled pre-flight weather/planning and inflight solution.

Friday, Nov 16: Advanced FlyQ EFB.  Been using FlyQ EFB for a while?  Bet there are still many tips, tricks, and features you don’t know about that can make your flying easier and safer.

  1. Hi Steve:

Thanks for all the hard work to “Be the BEST!”

Perhaps, when able FlyQ …..can add IFR – TEC (Tower Enroute Control) Routes
as a pre-programed service to support and quickly plan typical IFR flights between airports?

    Regards,

  3. I really like the FLYQ app, but I am somewhat disturbed by the app not working with the Strattus Transponder that I had installed, not knowing it would not work with FLYQ. I purchased the additional Merlin ADS-b Receiver, and it seems to only work for 30 minutes at best. come on guys you have a great app whats up?

    • You should have no issues at all with a Merlin but we don’t support the Stratus 1 or 2 — only the 3 (the folks who make the Stratus only recently allowed apps other than ForeFlight to access it). Please email support@seattleavionics.com Also — the Stratus folks do have an upgrade program for Stratus 2S and 2i users to upgrade the receiver to a 3S or 3i.

    • Hi Amit,

Technically, Red Barn applies to both FlyQ EFB 4.0 and FlyQ Online 2.0 and the demo will show it working in both. It will likely be ready in FlyQ Online first. In any event, we’re HOPING FOR beta release to external testers in December and public release in January. But do keep in mind that the holidays make scheduling esp. problematic this time of year so I want to be very clear that these dates are preliminary.
